My New year's Resolution
My New Years Resolution is to complete tasks on time and to organize my schedule better. I want to keep up with my calendar more often and remember to write down upcoming events. The key to this strategy is to prioritize things so I won't be distracted by irrelevant things. I will keep track of my time and be in charge of my free time and work time. I struggle with habits and keeping good ones, so I will make it my resolution to begin more habits that will stick with me when it comes to scheduling my time.

Holiday break
There is so much to do before my break, that I haven't even been able to go Christmas shopping yet. It always seems like it's this time of year that I run out of money before I can get any gifts, I don't know where it all goes. I hope this year I'll be able to get a gift for everyone on my list. It feels like a few years ago it was the other way around! I'm just happy to see my family all together and watch as the youngest tear open their dozens of neatly wrapped presents. I can still remember the Christmas when my younger cousin had gift after gift given to her and all I got were cards with money. I still appreciate the money, but I was still disappointed that I was growing up and I couldn't share her same excitement.

Going to the Movie theatre
Two nights ago, I searched the internet for the greatest film of all time. To my surprise, I found the 1994 film Shawshank Redemption listed as the highest rated on several list, yet I had never seen it. I found a copy on the internet that I could watch and begun the epic adventure starring Morgan Freeman and Tim Robbins. The suspense and thrill in the movie makes it a memorable one for sure. This movie is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time and I could tell I was going to like it the moment I watched the trailer.

Around Busha's Table
I was born in Grand Rapids 17 and a half years ago on March 29, 1997. The earliest birthday that I can remember is when I turned 5-years-old. I remember everyone crowding around a table with my great-grandmother's, Busha, at her house on the West side of Grand Rapids. My grandmother would make a cake from scratch for all birthdays held at Busha's house. This is where everyone had their birthday for as long as I can remember. In February 2013, Busha had passed away and we haven't held any birthdays at her house since then. From time to time, I visit the house and reminisce on all of the great memory had around that table.

My School Year in a Nutshell
I had a rough transition coming back into the classroom starting 1-2 weeks behind in classwork. It is a struggle everyday to motivate myself to complete something on my long list of assignments. Starting school 2 weeks late hindered my ability to function properly when it comes to organizing a schedule and time to do assignments. I have been in a state of melancholy and overwhelmed for several months now, but I hope to reach the end of the tunnel soon.

If I could go Anywhere...
I went to Northern India last winter which was by far my favorite place in the world. I was surrounded by the world's largest mountains and exotic jungles on all sides. The people there were all very friendly and had a great outlook on life in general. I long to be back on the rooftops in Dehradun looking up at the Milky Way hung overtop the Himalayas. One day I hope to return to the mystical, beautiful country of India.

Snowboarding season
In a few weeks, snow will fall and cover Michigan in a soft, white layer. This also will mark the beginning of the snowboarding season. This will be my third year on a snowboard and each year I have gotten more and more excited for the coming season. My stepbrother are getting season passes at Cannonsburg and going as often as we can. We want to get as much practice before we go to Colorado for spring break. We are going for the whole week at a resort to enjoy the last bit of winter while we can.
